Sample 1:

Nowadays, education is viewed as an essential factor in building a promising future for our society. Leaders and other governing bodies see it as a priority issue for the world's progress and development, hence, many believe that it should be mandated for children, especially, during the early stage of their development. This argument can be supported by stating its benefits, not only to children but to their parents and to society in general.

First and foremost, compulsory education for children will hone their personality in a well-controlled and well-mannered environment. For instance, teachers manage the classrooms and make sure that it is suitable for learning. They also teach their students new knowledge, guide them in learning new skills and discipline them in order to build new moral characters. Thus, school helps to hone an individual's positive personality, which will soon be an asset to society. Secondly, if the government mandates primary education, parents will have no choice but to send their children to school. They will need to provide necessary support, not only in the moral aspects but financial aspects of schooling. These facts will promote responsible parenthood.

Lastly, through mandatory education, each and every individual will have an understanding and greater awareness of the issues to make the world a better place. Therefore, eliminating ignorance and illiteracy that create gaps within society can be done through the mandatory education system. In fact, the schooling of children in many countries is mandatory and it reflects the needs of education for all in the societies.

In summary, the benefits brought about by compulsory education are beneficial and are a vital factor in society’s development.

Sample 2:

Education is the single most empowering factor in any individual’s life. With a better education, a person can be more productive as a worker, can get a better job, and as a result contribute better to the economy of the country. It also contributes to greater exposure to other societies and economies. It also improves the quality of life of society as education gives greater understanding of different aspects of life. With a greater number of educated people in society, the number of skilled jobs also goes up education and the economy.

A good educational system should teach not just theories and concepts, it should also teach the student to question. It should inculcate the spirit of curiosity in the student. Only then will education succeed. It should inculcate good morals and values and encourage the student to work for the betterment of her or his country and society.

It is the responsibility of the government to ensure that it ensures a sound education for all its citizens. It is in the interest of the economy to have a literate workforce rather than an unskilled workforce. It is eventually more beneficial for the government, if its citizens are educated and well read. Education also generates more awareness about health, hygiene, and economics. Greater awareness reduces the spread of epidemic and endemic diseases, thereby reducing the money spent on medical care. Education also contributes to a prolonged sustainable growth of an economy.

A good education also fosters the spirit of entrepreneurship. It is more common among educated people to quit their job and begin an enterprise of their own. This further contributes to the development of the economy. It allows the circulation of capital throughout the country. If these entrepreneurs conduct deals with foreign clients, this ensures a healthy inflow of foreign currency, thereby contributing to the country’s currency value.

So, both directly and directly, education contributes to the development of the country. The government should indeed make education compulsory for all children between the ages of five and fifteen, irrespective of their socio-economic status. This might not be possible for the households that cannot afford education due to their poor economic condition. In these cases, the government should provide free and good quality education to the children from these households. Education is to be viewed as an investment, not as expenditure.

To conclude, education is an important factor in the development of a country. The government of every country should ensure that everybody has access to quality education, for the betterment of society.
